PARAFONT
(Tbilisi), 2007, is a series of working prototypes. Using water
pumps, four 55-gallon oil drums are modified into "parasitic
fountains." Interrupting their normal circulation, the make-shift
fountains are continuously drawing water from (and depositing back
into) four different neo-traditional fountains along the Rustaveli
in central Tbilisi. PARAFONT (Tbilisi) reflects
the interconnection between the luxury that the European style fountains
represent and Georgia's positioning the transference of oil from
the East to the West.
