This was the original opening idea of Tako Chabashvili’s “exhibition” Up to Scratch. Though this event can hardly be named an exhibition. During several days the walls of the Karvasla museum were covered with a kind of wallpaper (sick child’s face on it). This was supposed to be a background to the society interested in expressing their ideas and desires. They were allowed to reveal their own capabilities, take part in the creative process. This turned out to be a rather hard task for old-fashioned-art-accustomed public. For the first two days only rare representatives dared to ejaculate their talents on the walls. If not a next-room “traditional” exhibition, visited by a large number of ordinary people, Tako Chabashvili’s children would have stayed innocent. The very ordinary people got interested in the neighboring event and sneaked in the cozy atmosphere of the sick children. It was a truly art orgasmic act! At last we got an opportunity of having one.
